Sandhill crane hunters must take this online hunting test annually before obtaining a Kansas-validated federal sandhill crane hunting permit. This permit is required to hunt sandhill cranes in Kansas. You may take the test as many times as you which to refresh your knowledge of crane identification. The purpose of this test is to improve your awareness of whooping cranes and your ability to distinguish between sandhill cranes and whooping cranes.

Instructions

  1. To take the test you can either log in with a previous account, create a new account, or continue without logging in. (Note: if you do not log in and you lose your certificate you will have to complete the test again.)
  2. The first step is to read the information presented to you. After you finish reading the information you will be given a test that consists of 20 multiple-choice questions. You must answer each question correctly to continue and you will be given as many chances as you need to answer each question correctly.
  3. Once you have completed the test, you will can print the certificate. (Note: You must carry the certificate with you when you hunt sandhill cranes.)
