Online Hunter Education Certification Course

Welcome to the Kansas Hunter Education online course.  This course is provided without charge to you by the Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks.  I hope that you find this course to be a fun introduction into the hunting activities that the 1300 volunteer hunter education instructors of Kansas enjoy so much.

Before you begin with the academic portion of the class, please STOP.  Have you registered to attend one of the required internet-assisted field day and testing sessions? If you have not, go again to the Internet Assisted Field Day and Testing schedule to find the contact information for a field day that fits your schedule. After registering for the field day and testing session of your choice you are ready to begin the course.  Remember that you have 90 days to attend a field day and testing session after completing the academic portion of the course

You will need access to a printer to work through this course.  To begin you will be asked to log in or create an account. This allows the system keep track of where you are at in the course. This way if you need to stop in the middle you can come back and begin where you left off. If you are a parent, the system allows you to create an account for yourself, but gives you the opportunity to have separate course profiles for each participant. This way you do not have to create separate accounts for your children. The course is important because you will see the same material it covers on the pretest you will need to take and pass in order to get into the field day and testing session. You can not access the completion test until you have completed all the chapter summary questions. Once complete you will be presented with a Field Day Qualifier Exam Certificate, print this and turn it in to your field day instructor.

Now, jump right in and get started on the course.  We have two requirements for you in this course.  First, be safe.  Second, enjoy yourself.  I know you can do this.  Good luck!
